Fall leaves Hide-and-Seek Sensory bin

My toddler is currently loving this weather, especially playing with the leaves outside. This activity is born out of his love for throwing leaves.

SETUP:

  • A shallow storage box like this one.
  • Leaves collected fresh from outside our house.
  • Some of his favorite trucks.

We walked around our house this morning collecting leaves of all colors. J had so much fun throwing in and out of the box mostly, but in the end, we had some in the box that was enough for the activity thankfully.

I hid some of his toys in the leaves. Some were concealed pretty well inside the leaves, while I left some partially hidden, so he knows what to do.

He knows the word ‘trucks’ pretty well. He is all about trucks. So it did not take long for him to try to get his trucks. He even tried to hide them back inside the leaves and made his game out of it.

I’m on the lookout for more Fall activities before the season is over. I hope to get back to more fun things that the kiddos will enjoy.
